Call for Papers KNasTIK 2012

Informations are very valuable assets in an organization that can be mined in the sense of taking and collecting information from the past, analyze and then it can provide a conclusion to take a decision. The larger enterprises the more complex information, Business Intelligence helps managers to manage the busness to extend their business.

KNASTIK 2012 has the main theme, “Business Intelligence : Extending Your Business”. Through this conference which was held on a regular basis, let us together to share ideas, knowledge, research and innovations in developing Bussiness Intelligence to support our business in Indonesia.

Dr Choong Yeow Wei

BA (Econ) Hons, Post Grad Dip in CompSc, MCompSc (Malaya), PhD (Cergy-Pontoise), AMIM, Chevalier de l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques (France)
Dr Choong is the Vice President of HELP University College. He is also the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science and Multimedia at the University College. Dr Choong obtained his Bachelor and Master degrees from the University of Malaya. He completed his PhD at Université de Cergy Pontoise (France). Currently, Dr Choong is the co-chairman of EXPEDO Research Group under the France-Asia ICT collaboration programme. This programme is funded by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Dr Choong’s research interests are in the areas of Data Warehousing, Data Mining, Multidimensional Databases and Search Algorithms. He has published over 30 technical papers in journals of which many were presented at international conferences.

Anne Laurent has been Assistant Professor at the LIRMM lab since September 2003. As a member of the TATOO group, she works on data mining, sequential pattern mining, tree mining, both for trends and exceptions detections and is particularly interested in the study of the use of fuzzy logic to provide more valuable results, while remaining scalable. Anne Laurent teaches in the Computer Science Department at Polytech’Montpellier Engineering School at the University of Montpellier II, which prepares a 5-year Masters in computer science and management.

The President of Indonesian Association of Higher Education Institution In Computing Studies
Graduated cum laude from Surabaya Institute of Technology as Computer Engineer in 1992 and received full scholarship from Pertamina Oil Company to finish his study as Master of Applied Computer Science at Harvard University, Massachusetts, USA. He is also a holder of Master of Business Administration from Leicester University, United Kingdom, Master of Communication from London School of Public Relasions – Jakarta, and Master of Philosophy from Masstricht School of Management, the Netherlands. His Doctor of Business Administration degree was from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (University of the City of Manila), the Philippines.

Knastik 2011 has been postponed

In order to our role to hold a broader conference, we postponed Knastik 2011 conference which would be held in November 2011. Knastik conference will be held in May 2012. With this postponement, we expect there are more participants that will participate in this conference

Knastik 2012 will be held with a more interesting concept, where there are speakers from abroad who are competent in their field. Topics to be appointed remains the same as Knastik 2011, namely on Business Intelligence.
